Maximum freshness. Full control. Whole beans preserve flavour for longer and give you the freedom to grind exactly how you like, depending on how you brew. Recommended if you own a grinder, enjoy experimenting, or brew in more than one way. Whole bean coffee can be brewed using any method when ground appropriately.
Fine grind. Short extraction. Concentrated flavour. Designed for pressure-based brewing, where water passes quickly through compacted coffee. Works best with: Espresso machines, Moka pots, Phin filters. Produces a rich, structured cup with body and intensity.
Medium grind. Slower flow. Greater clarity. Suited to methods where water passes through coffee more gently, allowing delicate flavours to open up. Works best with: Pour-over (V60), Chemex, AeroPress, Drip coffee makers. Produces a cleaner, more aromatic cup with balance and definition.
Larger grind. Longer contact time. Softer extraction. Used for immersion brewing, where coffee steeps fully in water before filtering. Works best with: French press, Cold brew. Produces a fuller mouthfeel with rounded, mellow flavours.
